Medialooks integrates Nablet’s high-quality UDP streaming technology

NAB Show 2017, Las Vegas, United States — April 25, 2017 — Medialooks, a leading provider of multimedia development tools, announced today that it has integrated UDP streaming technology from nablet into its software development kits.

The UDP protocol plays a major role in creating DVB-compliant IP streams. Instead of using expensive, dedicated hardware and SDI cables, many broadcast facilities prefer (and often require) that content is delivered via IP. Medialooks offers SDKs that make it easy for clients to create broadcast automation solutions, such as playout systems — with the addition of nablet’s streaming technology, these systems are now capable of being truly IP-based.

“nablet has a solid reputation in the broadcast market,” said Andrey Okunev, CEO of Medialooks. “It delivers codec solutions to major companies — for example, nablet is the developer of the Sony format plugins for Avid Media Access. Our goal is to provide customers with the solid DVB-compatible streaming solutions they request. We are proud to team up with nablet, and we are confident that our customers will appreciate this choice.”

“We’ve known the Medialooks team for a long time, and we are happy to finally work together,” said Muzaffer Beygirci, CEO at nablet. “Medialooks is very well-known for its easy-to-use SDKs, great technical support, a very simple licensing model, and a global customer base. Having our industry-leading streaming components available in their SDKs will allow our joint clients to respond quickly to rapidly-changing content delivery requirements. It creates a win-win-win situation for both companies and our customers.”

nablet will be exhibiting at the NAB Show, April 24–27 in Las Vegas, at the Avioon booth (N3532SUL) and the ReCAP booth (N1639FP).
